Privacy Policy for All in Family

Last updated: August 15, 2026

All in Family ("the App," "we," "us") is a family coordination app that helps households manage schedules, chores, allowance, expenses, medical information, documents, and safety features like an SOS alert. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

This App is intended to be used by a family together — typically set up and administered by a parent or guardian ("Admin"), who invites other family members, including children, to join using a shared family code.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Family content

Everything a family member chooses to enter into the App, which may include:

Location information

The App can share a family member's current location with the rest of the family, and can compare it against family-defined "safe zones." Location is only collected at the moment you choose to check or share it — the App does not track or record your location continuously or in the background, and location is never collected without your explicit action and device permission.

SOS alerts

If you use the panic/SOS button, the App sends an alert (and an optional message you type) to your family members within the App. This is not shared outside your family or with any emergency services directly.

2. How We Use Information

We do not use your information for advertising, and the App does not include any third-party advertising or analytics software.

3. Children's Privacy

We designed the App's child accounts specifically to avoid collecting personal information directly from children. A child's account consists only of a first name, a username that is unique within their own family (not shared publicly), and a PIN. No email address, phone number, or other direct identifier is collected from a child to create or use their account.

Child accounts are created by a parent or guardian (the family Admin) using the family's private invite code, not by the child independently signing up. Content that a child adds to the App (such as marking a chore complete) is visible to their family, specifically the Admin(s) of that family.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is described above, or you would like to review or delete your child's account information, please contact us using the information in Section 7.

4. How Information Is Stored and Shared

Encryption at rest

Sensitive information is encrypted using AES-256-GCM — the same class of encryption used by banks and TLS 1.3 — before it is written to disk, so it is not stored as plain, readable text on our servers. This covers:

Data is also encrypted in transit between your device and our servers using HTTPS. Each encrypted file and field is protected with its own random encryption nonce and an authentication tag, so tampering or corruption is detectable, not just hidden.

5. Your Choices and Rights

6. Data Retention

We retain your family's information for as long as your account is active, so the App can function as intended. If you request deletion of your account or data, we will delete it within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain limited information for legal or security purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
